I’m not staying in Waikiki. Can I take a tour?

Most Pearl Harbor tours depart from Waikiki. If you’re staying in a private residence or at a hotel outside of Waikiki there are other options.

Sometimes it makes sense to drive or get a ride to Waikiki and start your tour from there. If you choose this option, it’s best to park at Ala Moana Shopping Center and meet your bus at the Ala Moana Hotel. That way when you return from your tour, you can eat or shop at Ala Moana Center. Best of all, parking is free.

Windward & East Oahu

The best option for those staying on the windward side of Oahu (Kailua, Kaneohe) or on the East side (Hawaii Kai) is to take a tour from Waikiki. Park at Ala Moana as suggested above.

Ko’olina and Aulani Disney Resort

If you’re staying at Ko’olina, including the Disney Resort Aulani, Waikiki is out of your way. In fact, you will drive past Pearl Harbor on your way to Waikiki. The good news is that there are Pearl Harbor tours that depart from Ko’olina hotels.

North Shore

The same is true for visitors staying on the North Shore. You can drive to Ala Moana and start your tour there, but keep in mind that you will be passing Pearl Harbor on the way. There currently aren’t any tours originating on the North Shore.

Kahala

Some tours pick up guests at the Kahala Hotel. Check the specific tour you’re interested in for pick-up options.
