Tour Description

Experience Pearl Harbor from every perspective on the Air, Land & Sea Pearl Harbor Tour. Your tour guide will take you to “bookends of World War II in the Pacific” – from the spot where the USS Arizona was attacked, thrusting the United States into WWII to the USS Missouri, where Japan surrendered, signifying the end of the war.

Rainy Day Arizona Memorial

At the World War II Valor in the Pacific Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, you will be shown an impressive documentary with actual footage from the unexpected attack by Japanese aircraft on December 7, 1941. The vivid images set the tone as you board the Navy shuttle and head to the USS Arizona Memorial.

As you explore the Entry, Assembly and Shrine rooms of the USS Arizona Memorial, remember the 1177 crew members who call the sunken battleship below their final resting place. The USS Arizona had refueled just before the attack and oil continues to slowly seep into Pearl Harbor. The “Black Tears of the Arizona” form iridescent patterns that can be seen on the surface of the water.

Black Tears of the Arizona Memorial Reflection

Before the next stop, you will have free time to explore the interpretive wayside exhibits, personal memorabilia, historic photos, and bookstore at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. You can also walk through the USS Oklahoma Memorial located right outside of the USS Missouri.

Aptly nicknamed the “Mighty Mo,” the USS Missouri won 11 battle stars for service in World War II, the Korean War and the Persian Gulf War. As you traverse the 5 decks, your tour guide will convey stories of the last battleship ever built by the United States. While standing on the Surrender Deck, see a copy of the of the surrender document General Douglas MacArthur signed in Tokyo Bay that ended WWII.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopter

Top off your day with an exhilarating 45 minute helicopter tour in an American Eurocopter Eco-Star. View the crystal clear water of Waikiki Beach and look into the volcanic tuff cone known as Diamond Head Crater. Fly over Hanauma Bay, Chinaman’s Hat, and the coral formations in Kaneohe Bay. There is nothing like seeing the hidden rainforests, waterfalls and spectacular Ko’olau Mountains as you soar through the sky. Coming full circle, you will get an aerial perspective of the Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri, the 2 attractions you were standing on just a few hours ago.

The Air, Land & Sea Tour includes round-trip transportation, live narration by a professional tour guide, admission fees to the most popular sites at Pearl Harbor, and an unforgettable helicopter ride. This is guaranteed to be the adventure of a lifetime!

Our pilot’s name was Jim and let me tell you, he was a hoot! Extremely informative and made us feel comfortable and safe. The visit to the memorial on the Arizona was especially moving. The memorabilia at the museum and theatre was inspiring. I would recommend this to anyone coming to visit Oahu.

I gave the doors off helicopter tour for my boyfriend for his birthday and am so glad I did. We got picked up in Waikiki promptly when they said they would be there. Pearl Harbor was full of Great history, film was informational and brings you back down to earth. The sacrifice of war, the fight for freedom is truly humbling.

MUST DO while in Hawaii!!! AMAZING views! Margo was our awesome heli pilot!! I definitely suggest the doors off copter! They say that each person’s reaction/experience to Pearl Harbor is their own. For this reason, this is a place everyone should visit.  This tour will leave you breathless and speechless!!

Definitely a MUST if you are a visitor to honolulu! We seen parts of the land and ocean we wouldn’t be able to see on any look out, also a lot of monuments. Pearl Harbor is one of the most magnificent Memorials you could want to hope to visit. Certainly put this place on your bucket list. We had Pilot Jim and he was wonderful and very funny too, he made everyone very comfortable with the flight and was very knowledgeable!

We scheduled our flight a day in advance and they were absolutely accommodating to us. They picked us up at 815am and escorted us to the airport. During the short ride there we watched the safety video. We decided to do the early tour since it get so bright out we figured it would be easier to see everything early on. The door off is the best!  This was my first time to go on a helicopter.  They upgraded us to door off for free and it was wonderful! Our pilot was friendly and calming.

This was absolutely the best activity we planned while in Oahu! We were a bit hesitant because we had never been up in a helicopter before, but after doing a ton of research, we decided to book our flight. Overall though we loved it. Definitely a once in a lifetime activity due to the cost. It truly is a beautiful island perfectly observed and appreciated in the sky.

The most awesome tour of the island you can get! You’ll be well taken care of from the moment Pete picks you up! Margot, our pilot REALLY did an excellent work of narrating our guided tour though everything from dino-land to the militarybases!  When you’re at Pearl Harbor remember that many people lost their lives that day. It’s not exactly a happy place, but going there left me feeling grateful for those that fought for our country.

Round trip transportation, a hilarious guide that knows just about everything we saw, FLYING in a chopper over parts of Oahu and Pearl Harbor! Couldn’t have paid for a better tour. Not Good. Not Great. Just AMAZING!

The pilot was professional and knowledgeable about the area and tour is a must!! If you do it at the start of your trip you get a really good idea of what you want to do on the island. It’s hard to spend the money, but Hawaii is generally a once in a lifetime experience…just do it.
