USS Battleship Missouri Tours at Pearl Harbor

USS Battleship Missouri Tours

The last American battleship that was ever built and the last to ever be commissioned by the United States, the Battleship Missouri has become a part of history with its final resting place at Oahu’s Pearl Harbor.

History of the Mighty Mo

Ordered in 1940 and commissioned in 1944, the 58,000 ton ship, which measures almost 900 feet from bow to stern, fought in the Pacific Theater of World War II in the Iwo Jima and Okinawa battles, among others. She first arrived in Pearl Harbor on Christmas Eve in 1944, departing again a few days later and heading into battle.

Known as the “Mighty Mo,” USS Battleship Missouri is today a representation of peace that followed turmoil. On her decks, the Japanese signed the surrender documents bringing the Second World War to an end.

The ship’s history spanned three wars—World War II, The Korean War, and the Gulf War—and was home to 50 years of American men and women fighting for their country’s freedom, finally ending her career docking in Pearl Harbor in 1998, to be transformed into a museum.

With your Battleship Missouri tour, you’ll have the opportunity to step on board this magnificent ship. Explore the Missouri’s 50-caliber guns, measuring 16 inches each, visit the crew’s quarters and mess.

Guided Exploration

When you book your tour of Oahu’s Pearl Harbor, you receive a Mighty Mo pass that gives you admission into the USS Battleship Missouri. You have the choice of a 35-minute guided tour, a self-guided tour, or an acoustiguide audio tour; all of which enable you to stand on the bow and take a deep breath of history.
